Saint Barnabas is a part of Southwell Diocese and the Church of England

Our Leadership Team

Rev Andy Tufnell – Vicar of  St Barnabas and Christ Church Chilwell

Andy arrived at St Barnabas in 2017 with his wife Claire and their two daughters. Before he began full time ministry in the church he was a secondary school Physics teacher in the UK and Uganda. Andy loves time with his family, whether it’s a family walk, attempting to sing along to the latest Disney soundtrack, or playing on the beach. You could easily spark a conversation with Andy with an exploration of the big questions of philosophy, Physics and faith. But, if you prefer movies, books or watching the football over a pint, you’ll find Andy equally satisfied.

Linda Sadler – Churchwarden

Linda can be contacted on  07535 491298; she has been our warden since April 2017.

Marion MacDonald – Churchwarden

Marion can be contacted using; she was appointed in March 2018

Mike is the Curate at Christ Church Chilwell and St Barnabas Inham Nook.  He joined the church in July 2018 with his wife Rachel and two daughters.  Mike spent nine years in the Royal Air Force as a Logistics Officer before training for ordained ministry at Ridley Hall in Cambridge.  Aside from using up the post-it notes in the church office, Mike enjoys cooking and spending time in the gym.

Andy Thomas – Operations Manager

Andy took up the role of Operations Manager in September 2019 having arrived in Chilwell with Katrina, Alex and Lucy in January 2019. With a background in IT security, and an eye for detail, Andy oversees and manages the operational side of church, from hall bookings and building maintenance, to writing and implementing policies and procedures which enable church to function. Andy enjoys being out and about, especially cycling now Alex and Lucy are old enough to keep up!
